Story Warriors is a fast-paced fantasy adventure created by Will Startle.
The novels tell of the Story Warrior’s battle to control reality through their stories, creating new worlds and fantastical characters to wage their war. Two factions, the Makers and Breakers, drag four friends into the conflict, where they become the centre of an epic struggle between hope and despair.

Four friends are hurled into a war between the Makers and Breakers, who are warring factions of the Story Warriors. Their battles are fought through the creation of stories that flow to and from reality. Annelle and Mot find their world invaded by weird and wonderful characters as the Story Warriors battle for control of the future.
Annelle and Mot are stunned to find the characters they created in class roaming around under their school. Shynee, a twelve inch, multifunctional gorilla stopper, gives Annelle a lesson in martial arts. Mot, on the other hand, is terrorised by his creation; Good Night Ha! Ha! – purveyor of nightmares. With their friends, Lara and Fleck, they investigate and discover that some of their teachers are Story Warriors.
The friends become pawns in the battle between the Makers and Breakers, through a series of adventures created by the Story Warriors. In one they are chased by Sonny Star, a creation of the Breakers and the reluctant saviour of a future earth. Sonny, a genetically enhanced scientist, saved the world from environmental disaster with creations such as frog's leg bushes and chocolate fly-traps. They also meet Caravagio, a brilliant artist, Osprey an ancient druid and Martin, half man, half wildcat.
As characters change sides and Story Warriors let them down the friends start to question whether they have chosen the right side.

Will Startle is the author of the Story Warriors series of books.
Initially trained as a biochemist Will realised that his brain wasn't designed for the organisation and accuracy demanded by the sciences.
He then pursued his ambition of becoming a writer before struggles with illegible handwriting and manuscript losses forced him to abandon it as a career option.
He eventually found his niche within community arts, specialising in the use of music technology with disabled people.
After leaving work to bring up his two children Will realised that, as he was now lucky enough to have a laptop and cloud storage, he would be able to create readable text without losing what he had written.
He once more embarked upon a career as a writer.

Book 02 (available early 2019)
Book two is finished and awaiting artwork. It will be available early 2019. The second novel reveals more about the Story Warriors and introduces the enigmatic Doctors.
Book 03 (available christmas 2018)
The cover shows Ello waiting patiently for book three. It is in the final stages of editing and will be available before Easter 2019
